Is there any such thing as a hacker name generator that will generate a hacker username for you? Like how people get their hacker handle name? Thanks.

What would you describe a hacker name as? How is it different from a regular username? I say don't waste time on your "hacker username" and spend time hacking...

But hackers constantly change their usernames for different accounts right? So they can't be traced? (a little off topic on that one, I must admit)

Also, thank you for your info, I will base my further usernames off of probably relating to me (that psychomarine example). Thanks again!

Hacker names aren't for anonymity. If a hacker wants anonymity, he just won't put his name up on defacements. It doesn't make them less traceable. All of the following I have used at one point or another CrimsonEpoch, CrimsonProphecy, Vap0r, Dog Mikkyw, TempusTempori, HubishagRising, MidnightSpade, CRY.SYS, as well as alexseev kasmirz. Barely any of these offer me much anonymity, actually, quite a few of them probably could easily be traced to my address, and more personal information. From my experience, and I would like more senior members to weigh in here, the only two ways to any sort of anonymity on the web is to A) never go on it, or B) fill up the web with so much misinformation that any search for your username or name will result in innumerable false positives.

Most people who want to keep in the shadows do change up usernames i have a few i toss around on other sites
its kinda like having a few passports in your pocket. it all depends on who you want to be that day and where you are located on the net. of course some people dont care at all and as long as you realize ALL the information you put on the web IS ON THE WEB for all to see, then you can still keep your same nick just falsefy all the information.
thats the good thing about the net or is it the downfall
everyone is a liar online
trust noone :-)
